A Nicki Minaj fan asked his idol to pay off a few of his student loans via twitter a few days ago. And she responded. But the question is, did she really do it?
Actually, she did. The hip hop star even went as far as to upload proof to ensure her followers that she wasn’t kidding around. (See Instagram post below.)
After Remy Ma’s Shether diss track, a few months ago, I didn’t think we’d ever hear from Nicki ever again. However, it seems that the hip hop star has found the perfect come back, from what looked like a lethal dose of self sabotage and career suicide just waiting to happen. (I guess you could say she dodged that bullet, and dodged it well.)

However, that innocent tweet, that was once just an attempt to get a celebrity to do something nice for a complete stranger, has quickly turned into something a whole lot bigger. Not only has Nicki Minaj agreed to do another “impromptu payment spree”, she also hinted that she’ll be starting up an official charity to help her fans pay off their student loan debts and college tuition payments. But I can’t help but wonder, if this charitable contribution will only be available to “The Kingdom”, Nicki’s fan base, or if it will be opened up to the entire world? (I have a slight feeling that soon she’ll be paying off a few #TEAMREMY fans student debt as well. As a kind gesture of course.)
What do you think?
As for now, it seems that Nicki Minaj is sticking to a strict budget and paying off small debts. To ensure that she can do so for a handful of folks all at once. College debt is no funny matter. Take it from me, someone who has already racked up over $50k in student loans alone. So I’m sure that no matter how much she pays off for her fans, the gesture will be truly appreciated. I’m just happy to see a big name celebrity finally doing something worth talking about. If I ever get to meet Ms. Minaj, I’ll be sure to hug her and say thank you on behalf of all of her fans. This is truly a blessing!
Now let’s discuss this in the comments below. Are you a Nicki Minaj fan? Will you be signing up to have Ms. Minaj help pay off your debt once her charity is finalized? Do you think she’ll be adding more “requirements” once the hype blows over? Sound off in the comments below and let me know exactly what you think.
